Scorpio Newsletter Now Posted

Posted on Nov 1st, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi
I've just posted the Scorpio issue of my Light In Motion newsletter. You can find it at my website Light In Motion.

This November there are five planets transiting through Scopio with Venus and Mars currently close to the Sun in the sign of transformation and power. I expect to hear of many people reexamining their personal relationships, questioning their values and reconsidering where they are investing their time and resources.

Jupiter is in its final weeks in Scorpio having been there for about a year now. Lots of clean up and completion and tying up of loose ends in the sign of politics, psychology and passion before it moves into own sign of Sagittarius for the next year.

Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio now. If you feel like you don't know whether you are coming or going blame it on the planets. Take your time, double check your work and your plans and give yourself a big time out to reflect, retreat and reconsider whatever isn't working for you these days. There is great power in releasing that which no longer serves our lives and these days of so much shifting manyof us in this Zaadz mindset and vibration are outgrowing our situations and circumstances on a regular basis.

This month is the perfect time to walk the talk, to engage this energy and make the changes that allow your life to flow anew.

For more, please do check the newsletter. I'd love to hear any feedback you have to offer from your personal experience of these days of change.

Before The Fall...

Posted on Oct 30th, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi

I felt an urgency the other day to capture the vibrance of the leaves on this tree in the parking lot of our complex. Two days after I took this photo I noticed all the leaves were gone.

Another reminder of the rewards received as we seize the moment and to thank goodness for the nearly infinite joys offered by the almighty and miraculous camera.

Amen to that.

Virgo Newsletter

Posted on Sep 12th, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi
I've posted the Virgo issue of my monthly intuitive astrology newsletter on my website. You can find it at Light In Motion.

This is a particularly dynamic time for Virgo and the other mutable signs, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini as there are two ecilpses this month, the Pisces/Virgo Lunar Eclipse on September 7th and the Virgo Solar Eclipse coming on September 22, just hours before the Autumnal Equinox. Eclipse cycles (which follow the movement of the Moon's North and South Nodes, in each sign for approximately 18 months out of 19 years) intensify the urge for change and like a rung bell, the reverberation continues for some time afterward.

At this harvest time, between the Lunar and Solar Eclipse, it is a wise course of action to keep it simple; deal with unfinished business, and give yourself time to practice using Virgo's strong points–using discrimination and discretion as you take stock of your life, sorting the wheat from the chaff and clear anything that has now become clutter so as you enter this autumn you are ready for the change of seasons.

Happy organizing!

Intuition Is A Spiritual Faculty

Posted on Sep 8th, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi

"Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.
Standing on the bare ground
my head bathed by the blithe air and uplifted into infinite space
all mean egotism vanishes.
I become a transparent eyeball. I am nothing;
I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me;
I am part or parcel of God.
The name of the nearest friend sounds then foreign and accidental;
to be brothers, to be acquaintances, master or servant,
is then a trifle and a disturbance.
I am the lover uncontained and immortal beauty."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Zaadz Profile from March 2006

Posted on Aug 25th, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi

I've been through a period of tremendous change since joining Zaadz in March of this year and am feeling a yen to change my profile. Since this original profile essay may be of interest to some, I thought I'd blog it.

March 2, 2006

Since 1997, I have worked as a professional intuitive astrologer and more recently, began offering intuitive consulting, as well, in Northern California's San Francisco Bay Area. Please visit my website for more information Light In Motion.

I lived in Hawaii, on Oahu's North Shore, for a year and a half a few years ago, but have been back in California for the past three years. My business and my life changed form and substance dramatically as a result of my time in Hawaii, living at the beach in a rural area surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.

From the lanai of our condo, the view was all sky and ocean--sunset and sunrise provided a source of daily inspiration. Time and natural cycles took on an entirely new meaning for me. Being immersed in the intense color and beauty of the islands awakened in me a new level of creative expression. It also opened a wellspring of intuitive awareness as my conscious connection with all-that-is expanded.

In my work as an intuitive consultant and astrologer, I read the astrological chart through an intuitive lens, assisting my clients in realizing a deeper truth about who they are and how they can use their natural resources to create the life of their dreams. I feel that when one is ‘in their element’, doing work and living in alignment with their heart and soul, not only is their experience more meaningful and inspired, the universe and everything in it is uplifted. When we say something ‘rings true’, we mean we are in resonance with it. I believe the whole world is blessed, graced and further harmonized by each individual who is living their truth from the heart.

Writing is one of my passions. I have written daily for years and last year, founded and have led an active online network for creative writers.

Last November, I participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) for the first time and successfully completed my goal of writing at least 50,000 words of a novel between November 1st and 30th. I look forward to editing and finishing my novel in 2006. I write poetry and lately, have been writing some flash fiction, short stories.

I look forward to meeting many kindred spirits on Zaadz and doing my part to help change the world for the better.

Magic Carpet Mind

Shimmering web of angel hair glistens in the sun
Mighty roar of ocean, surf rushes to the shore
Rhododendron leaves in the breeze, gently fan the air
Rustling pile of papers beckons me to now

Reflection pulls me back, through a chasm in my mind
Tantalizing memories, long dormant, left behind
Crystalline moments etched within, glimmer once again
Heightened in holiday splendor, never seen back when

She's crazy, they said, with supercilious smiles
Popping the bubble I'd made
But time and tide reveal the truth
Look who's smiling today

They never knew, they never will
I see it all clearly, now
With that, my magic carpet mind
Floats back to this moment in time

Memories released
May they rest in peace
I'm free to go
Leave the past behind me

Mini-Masterpiece

Posted on Jul 6th, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi

I was so moved and inspired by this brief video I wanted to share it with you. It seems a perfect excercise for some of what Stu talked about here on my Creative Inspiration pod and what I saw in What The Bleep about the molecules of emotion.

I could feel the emotion of the people featured here and found a purity to the emotion. I'm curious about the experience of others. If you see it, I hope you'll take a moment to share a little about your experience of it here.

You can find this innovative mini-masterpiece (imo) at Cafe Siena.

Enjoy.

Astrology~Cancer and Mercury's Coming and Going Retrograde

Posted on Jul 1st, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi
Greetings!

I've just posted the latest issue of my Light In Motion~Intuition*Astrology*Insight~newsletter. This month the topic is the sign Cancer and the emotions it rules. If you are interested you can find it at Light In Motion.

On another astrological note, Mercury goes retrograde again on July 4th. It just entered Leo a couple of days ago, so will go back through the first couple of degrees of Leo and then move back through Cancer, where it will remain for the next several weeks. It comes out of it's retro phase on July 28th but then will recover the ground it just backed over.

I can almost hear you asking, "But what does this mean for me?!?"

Mercury in Cancer feels more than thinks and communicates through the emotions and by offering nurturing words and gestures. Those born with Mercury in Cancer tend to be emotional thinkers who respond from their gut instincts and their words will naturally carry some emotional  element or charge.

Mercury retrograde will often bring people from the recent or distant past back into our life or awareness. We are more likely to find lost items during these times. It is also extremely challenging to make clear decisions now, as we are more mentally focused in the past than the present.

With Mercury retrograde in Cancer, particularly, which is in charge of history, family, our needs, emotions and the mother or nurturer, we are likely to be retrospective now.

Every time is good for something and this one is excellent for family reunions, or any kind of reunion, for that matter. It is a good time to go on a retreat, relax, remodel your home, reconsider or revise anything that needs attention or removal.

Any act that begins with the prefix re- is indicated now. Reorganize, remember, revitalize, restore, replace, reinforce, reply, renovate, make restitution and my all-time favorite, recreate. Indulge in recreational activities that remind you of the freedom and joy you felt as a kid.

The Call to BALANCE the WATERS of the EARTH MEDITATION

Posted on Jul 1st, 2006 by Jodi : Goddess Jodi

Meditate with scrolling affirmantion below or use your own heart song.

Please forward and share this page with like minded prayer groups.

Bearing witness to intense weather patterns...
we invite all powerful ones working with the positive energies of the I AM PRESENCE, to help balance the waters of the earth.
Let us all BE THE CHANGE we want to see in the world.
Let us all see and know these shift and balances of positive change are upon us NOW!

Any time your heart calls is a good time to do this meditation...
but.... auspicious and powerfully potent summer days to accelerate your intentions are

7/1, 7/6, 7/7, 7/9, 7/14, 7/20 (doubled),
7/27, 7/28, 8/2, 8/4, 8/8, 8/15, 8/25 and 8/27 of 2006!
(these are either portal days or days of harmony).
The masters say the best time of day to do this is high noon in your area.

Network everywhere... share with everyone... and take action for positive change.
The elementals react to our intentions. We do not have to experience violent weather patterns and global warming. We can realize the power within each of us and TAKE ACTION to balance the disharmony in nature we caused by living in default and asleep. Be the change you want in the world! It is up to all of us.

I AM calling on the POWER and INTEGRITY of the I AM PRESENCE within ME, and the Living Element of PURE LIFE GIVING WATER to hear my request.    I welcome the Element of WATER to gently visit every dry corner of our beautiful Earth.    Quench thirsty hot lands, and draw back from areas that are already quenched.    Thank you for ending the thirst of my body, mind, spirit and also these lands and animals.    I AM calling on the POWER and INTEGRITY of the I AM PRESENCE and the element of WATER for these blessings to be fulfilled, and so it is!

"If a man's mind becomes pure, his surroundings will also become pure."
~ Buddha

Maybe one day we'll grow weary of whining and celebrate the rain,
the manna, the half-filled glass of water,
the little gifts from heaven that make each day bearable.
Instead of cloaking ourselves in the armor of pessimism,
maybe we'll concede that we are who we are:
capricious, unfortune, wonderful, delicate, alive. Forgiven.

~ Mark Collins in On the Road to Emmaus

Only let the moving waters calm down;
and the sun and moon will be reflected on the surface of your being.'

~ Rumi

"The water a cow laps turns into milk;
the water a snake licks changes into poison."

~ Zen saying

If you keep you heart immersed always in the ocean of divine love,
your heart is sure to remain ever full to overflowing with the waters of the divine love.

~Sri Ramakrishna
